- ANSI J-STD-008, Personal
Station - Base Station Compatibility Standard for Dual-Mode Wideband
Spread Spectrum PCS System.
- Formal definition of the PCS (1900 MHz) air
interface - heavy on rigor, light on explanations. The PCS standard
differs from IS-95-A primarily in the frequency plan and in call processing
related to subscriber station identity, such as paging and call origination.
The basic signal structure (message formats, coding, and modulation)
are identical .

EIA/TIA/IS-41.5-C, Cellular Radiotelecommunications Intersystem
Operations: Data Communications
EIA/TIA/IS-41.6-C, Cellular Radiotelecommunications Intersystem
Operations:
- Six volume set describing the messaging, build on
SS7 SCCP and MTP for the support of call delivery and handoff of cellular
calls. Revision C is the first to support CDMA.
- IEEE Standard 269-1992,
IEEE Standard Method for Measuring Transmission Performance
of Analog and Digital Telephone Sets (ANSI)
- IEEE Standard 661-1979,
IEEE Standard Method for Determining Objective Loudness Rating
of Telephone Connections.
ITU-T Recommendation P.48, Specification for an Intermediate
Reference System.
- This is a formal definition of a reference point
in telephone networks for the separating the transmitter and receiver
parts of the loudness ratings.
- ITU-T Recommendation P.65, Objective Instrumentation
for the Determination of Loudness Ratings.
- Loudness ratings are perceptually weighted sound
levels. This recommendation, along with P.79, define them and the
means for measuring them. See also IEEE Standard 661.
- ITU-T Recommendation
P.50, Artificial Voices.
- ITU-T Recommendation
P.51, Artificial Ear and Artificial Mouth.
- These are standardized test devices for measuring
the electro-acoustical performance of telephone handsets.
- ITU-T Recommendation
P.76, Determination of Loudness Ratings; Fundamental Principles.
- See also ITU Recommendations P.65, P.79, and IEEE
Standard 661.
- ITU-T Recommendation P.79, Calculation of
Loudness Ratings for Telephone Sets.
- TIA/EIA/IS-95-A, Mobile
Station - Base Station Compatibility Standard for Dual-Mode Wideband
Spread Spectrum Cellular System.
- Formal definition of the cellular (800 MHz) CDMA
air interface - heavy on rigor, light on explanations. IS-95-A differs
only slightly from the prior version, IS-95.
- TIA/EIA/IS-96-A, Speech Services Option Standard
for Wideband Spread Spectrum Digital Cellular System.
- 8 kbps variable rate speech codec definition.
