The year 2005 marked the tenth anniversary of the first commercial cdmaOne™ launch by Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong (September 1995) and the fifth anniversary of the first commercial CDMA2000^® deployment by SK Telecom (October 2000). Since its development in the late 1980s and early 1990s, CDMA technology has proved itself to be a superior platform for advanced wireless data and voice services.
