Commercialization of CDMA The commercial CDMA standards TIA/EIA IS-95A
(cellular) and ANSI J-STD-008 (PCS) build
on solid theoretical foundations, which we discuss briefly in Principles
of CDMA. However, there is a great deal more to a workable commercial air
interface standard than just the basic signal structure and power control. This
section discusses the rationale behind some of the major features of the air
interface.
