Membership in the CDG...Giving you the Competitive Edge

What are the key success factors for delivering content and applications to the global wireless marketplace?

  • A clear understanding of the technology
  • Access to key industry players, including content developers, equipment manufacturers and service providers
  • Awareness of how companies are delivering applications and services today

The CDG offers content and applications developers a forum where they can gain knowledge about the technology, discuss technical matters important to the rollout of wireless applications, and showcase their products.

Our technical teams focus on issues important to the deployment of new services. For example, the Internet Over-the-Air Device Management Team is developing requirements to provide a flexible and secure firmware upgrade on wireless subscriber devices. The MMS Team was instrumental in initiating 3GPP2 specifications development activities and completion of these specifications in time to facilitate deployment. The Evolution Team is focusing on the evolution of CDMA2000 to meet the future needs of operators and subscribers.

The CDG also offers the opportunity to network with companies involved in the delivery of mobile wireless services. Content and applications developers can learn firsthand what services and applications CDMA operators are looking to offer their customers. In addition, the CDG provides significant promotional benefits to members, including opportunities to speak, exhibit and participate at CDG conferences and technology forums; company listings and discussion groups on the CDG website; and access to the latest industry information.

Together, we will lead the rapid development and launch of compelling, innovative services and applications that meet consumer and business needs
