Hong Kong Welcomes a New CDMA Operator

PCCW-HKT Telecom Limited has won the CDMA license in Hong Kong and its Mobile Division PCCW Mobile HK Limited is presently well under way in the network and service vendor evaluation and selection process in order to be fully operational on November 20, 2008 when Hutchison Telecom switches off its CDMA network forever.

PCCW Mobile delegates Angel Hui (Assistant Vice President – Carrier Relations) and Anthony Chan (Assistant Vice President – Strategic Mobile Technology) will be attending the March IRT in Ft. Lauderdale hosted by VeriSign for their very first time and look forward to meeting with all the CDMA Operators assembled to discuss PCCW’s plans for establishment of bi-lateral Roaming before the November 20 switch over.
