CDMA DEVELOPMENT GROUP TO HOST SMART WIRELESS WORKSHOP IN LOS ANGELES ON OCTOBER 4, 2010

Half Day Session Focusing on “Building the Future with M2M” to be Followed by Presentation of 2010 Smart Wireless Awards 

 

WHAT:

The CDMA Development Group (CDG) and the CDG Smart Wireless Special Interest Group (M2M SIG) are pleased to announce the Smart Wireless Workshop, which will be held on the afternoon of Monday, October 4, 2010 during the TMC 4G Wireless Evolution (4GWE) and M2M Evolution Conference, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.

The half-day workshop, “Building the Future with M2M,” will feature CDMA operators, MVNOs, application/middleware, device and module vendors exploring the business case and implementation tools necessary for companies to succeed in delivering smart wireless services across a number of vertical markets: tele-medicine, smart grid/energy, telematics and consumer electronics.

The workshop will be immediately followed by the presentation of the First Annual Smart Wireless Awards. Co-presented with exclusive media partner TMC, the awards celebrate innovative wireless devices and services using wireless modules on CDMA2000® networks. Specifically, the awards will honor machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions for consumers, enterprises, and the energy, healthcare and telematics vertical markets.

The 2010 Smart Wireless Awards will recognize winners in the following technology categories:

  • Wireless Modules
  • Devices
  • Mobile Services

Registration for the Smart Wireless Workshop and the 2010 Smart Wireless Awards Reception is FREE.  

WHO:

The CDMA Development Group is a global trade association formed to foster the advancement of CDMA and other complementary wireless solutions. Its members, including many of the world’s leading service providers and equipment manufacturers, collaborate on standards evolution, education, advocacy, regulatory affairs, roaming and device availability. 

WHEN:

The Smart Wireless Workshop will be held on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:20 p.m., followed immediately by the presentation of the 2010 Smart Wireless Awards. 

WHERE: The Smart Wireless Workshop and the 2010 Smart Wireless Awards Reception will be held during the TMC 4G Wireless Evolution (4GWE) and M2M Evolution Conferences in the West Hall (Room 405) of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
