KORE Telematics Joins CDMA Development Group to Advance M2M Adoption

World’s Largest Fully Digital Wireless M2M Network Provider to Advocate CDMA2000 enabled in M2M Applications

Las Vegas, Nev.—International CTIA WIRELESS 2010—March 23, 2010—KORE Telematics, the world’s largest digital wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, today announced that the company has joined the CDMA Development Group (CDG) as an operator member. KORE will work with CDG to promote CDMA2000® technology for M2M solutions.

KORE already has numerous CDMA-based M2M devices deployed throughout North America across more than 60 customers. The experience and thought leadership of KORE as the largest MVNO in the M2M industry will be leveraged by the CDG in its recently-formed Smart Wireless Modules and Services Special Interest Group (SIG), inaugurated in January 2010.

“The CDG is pleased to welcome KORE as the first operator member specializing exclusively in M2M services,” said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG. “KORE’s commitment to CDMA2000 makes it a strong advocate in advancing the CDG’s Smart Wireless Modules and Services initiatives.”

The CDG is a trade association focused on the worldwide development, implementation and use of CDMA technology. KORE is committed to participating in CDG M2M SIG sub-groups such as the Industry Awareness group, the Module Testing & Certification group, the Application Development/Middleware group and the System Architecture/Planning group.

“CDMA is a key technology in a number of emerging M2M markets, including utilities, healthcare, payment processing and AVL/fleet tracking,” said Alex Brisbourne, president and COO of KORE Telematics. “As an operator member of the CDG, KORE will assist in promoting CDMA2000 as a suitable technology for M2M solutions. Using CDMA, application developers can build robust M2M solutions with low data costs and expanded regions of coverage.”

KORE Telematics will be demonstrating its specialized M2M network in booth #361 at International CTIA WIRELESS 2010, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas from March 23-25, 2010.
