CDMA2000 COVERAGE ON MAJOR CARIBBEAN ISLANDS

CDMA2000 Technology of Choice for Caribbean Operators to Provide International Roaming and Advanced 3G Services

COSTA MESA, Calif., August 22, 2006 — The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) today announced that CDMA2000® coverage will soon exist on most every major island in the Caribbean, allowing residents and travelers to take advantage of uninterrupted 3G voice and wireless broadband data services. The CDG also congratulated British Virgin Island operator, CCT Global Communications on the deployment of CDMA2000 1xEV-DO broadband services this week.

"The CDG is pleased to report the proliferation of CDMA2000 coverage and services in the Caribbean," said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG. "The technology presents vast benefits and is especially conducive to supporting tourists from North America, where CDMA2000 is the dominant 3G wireless technology. We applaud the CDMA operator community in the Caribbean for their continued success in offering 3G CDMA2000 services.”

“CDMA2000 was the clear technology choice for CCT,” said Robert Lyons, general manager of CCT Global Communications. “Based on its prevalence in North America, the two to three year lead over other next generation technologies, and an evolution path that is backward and forward compatible, CCT felt that CDMA2000 offered a revenue opportunity advantage that was indispensable and future-proof. Offering CDMA2000 roaming and broadband access services offers us a great return on our investment.”

Close to 4 million CDMA2000 subscribers are already using 3G voice, multimedia and broadband data services in the Caribbean. This number does not include the thousands of subscribers that roam onto these networks.

Within the next six months, CDMA2000 services will be offered by at least 20 operators on 12 nation islands within the Caribbean, including Bermuda.
