International Trade Association Culminates Year Of Successes With A New Look

COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 26, 2001
– Highlighting the organization’s forward-looking nature, the CDMA Development Group (CDG) ( today unveiled a new corporate logo.

Reflective of the CDG’s cutting-edge technology advancements and global presence, the logo features a futuristic design with a silhouette of the Earth. The new logo’s color scheme is dark blue and gray, complementing the CDG’s trademarked brand for 2G CDMA, cdmaOne. The logo can be viewed on the CDG’s Web site located at

“Over the past several years, the CDG has established itself as one of the major innovative forces in the wireless industry.” said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG. “The CDG’s new look represents the Group’s commitment to continually deliver cutting-edge wireless communication solutions to the global marketplace.”

There are currently more than 103 million CDMA subscribers, including 2.5 million 3G CDMA2000 users.
CDMA operators have been first-to-market with 3G multi-media services and high-speed data access. To date, a total of seven operators from Asia, North America and Latin America are deploying 3G services with CDMA2000. These operators include Bell Mobility, Centennial, KT Freetel, LG Telecom, SK Telecom, Verizon Wireless and Western Wireless. Additional operators are expected to deploy 3G CDMA2000 services in the next six months.

The CDMA Development Group is a nonprofit trade association formed to foster the worldwide development, implementation and use of cdmaOne and CDMA2000. The 110 member companies of the CDG include many of the world’s largest wireless operators and equipment manufacturers. The primary activities of the CDG include development of cdmaOne features and services, public relations, education and seminars, regulatory affairs and international support. Currently, there are more than 500 individuals working within various CDG subcommittees on cdmaOne-related matters.
