CDG Explores Factors for Making 3G a Success

The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) released
today a presentation on delivering third-generation wireless
services. The presentation titled "3rd Generation
Mobile Wireless - A Presentation on the Opportunities
and Challenges of Delivering Advanced Mobile Communications
Services," is available for viewing at www.cdg.org/3GPavilion/Detailed_Info/cdg_3g_presentation.pdf.
It discusses the advantages of CDMA2000 in delivering
3G services based on critical factors such as spectrum
efficiency and flexibility, cost and ease of migration
from 2G, and handset and services availability. |

The CDG is a nonprofit trade association formed to
foster the worldwide development, implementation and
use of cdmaOne and CDMA2000. The 110 member companies
of the CDG include many of the world's largest wireless
operators and equipment manufacturers. The primary activities
of the CDG include development of cdmaOne features and
services, public relations, education and seminars,
regulatory affairs and international support.
