CDG To Deliver Key Presentations At PCIA GlobalXChange This Week; Topics Will Address 3G, Latin America, And Asia Pacific
What: The CDMA Development Group (CDG, www.cdg.org) will be discussing 3G opportunities, benefits, and enabling technologies at this year's Personal Communications Industry Association's (PCIA) GlobalXChange conference inChicago, Sept. 26-28, 2000. This is part of the CDG's continuing program to educate the industry on worldwide developments related to CDMA technology.
"The CDG is looking forward to participating in the discussions at PCIA. 3G CDMA is rapidly becoming a reality, creating significant opportunities for the industry," said Sam Samra, senior director technology programs for the CDG. During the PCIA conference, Samra will participate on a panel discussion about the transition to a 3G world and beyond.
Latin American Director for the CDG, Guillermo Fornaresio commented, "3G is changing the dynamics of the Latin American mobile market, and is having a significant impact on operators, manufacturers, and subscribers." Fornaresio will participate on a panel regarding 3G strategies for the Latin American market at the PCIA conference.
"3G is already here for the CDMA community," added Terry Yen, Asia Pacific director for the CDG. "With 3G commercial deployment in Asia on the horizon, it is definitely an exciting time for the market players and consumers." During the PCIA conference, Yen will participate on a panel reviewing the market opportunities created by 3G in Asia.
