Fourth Annual cdma World Congress to be Held in Hong Kong

SINGAPORE, June 23, 1998--At the Third Annual CDMA World Congress Tuesday, the CDMA Development Group (CDG) announced that next year's World Congress will be held June 14-18, 1999, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference is the wireless industry's leading event for all CDMA-related issues.

"The growing strength of cdmaOne throughout Asia makes Hong Kong the ideal venue for the Fourth Annual CDMA World Congress," said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG. "In addition, Hong Kong has special significance as the site of the first cdmaOne commercial network launch in September 1995. As a gateway to China, one of the world's fastest developing and most important wireless markets, Hong Kong is unsurpassed as a location for the 1999 World Congress."

The Fourth Annual CDMA World Congress will present in-depth looks at all the major CDMA development initiatives, including high-speed data services, the global expansion of cdmaOne wireless local loop systems, and air-interface and network upgrades to support third- generation services. In addition, the Congress will cover branding, marketing and customer-service solutions from cdmaOne network operators around the globe.
