SINGAPORE, June 23, 1998--The CDMA Development Group (CDG) Tuesday announced that the Second Annual CDMA European Regional Congress will be held Oct. 19-22 at the Radisson SAS in Berlin.

The event will enable attendees to obtain information on how to exploit CDMA's potential in business development strategies, optimize a cdmaOne network rapidly and effectively, and design and plan a cost-effective network.

Tuesday's announcement was made by Perry LaForge, executive director for the CDG, at the Third Annual CDMA World Congress at the Raffles City Convention Centre in the Westin Stamford & Westin Plaza, Singapore. The CDMA World Congress will continue through June 25, 1998.

"The CDG is looking forward to another successful European Regional Congress, and is gratified by the high level of interest in CDMA technology expressed by Europeans, especially as a WLL solution and as a 3G technology," said LaForge.

The Second Annual CDMA European Regional Congress will feature presentations from leading wireless manufacturers and operators. Among the numerous topics that will be addressed is global demand for CDMA optimizing a CDMA network, cdmaOne product development, and the use of CDMA in relation to Internet services. In addition, attendees will receive a comprehensive update on the evolution toward third-generation mobile systems.
