CDMA Development Group Announces New Hire; Dawn M. Brodman Appointed as Marketing Director

COSTA MESA, Calif., July 20, 1998 -- The CDMA Development Group (CDG) today announced that Dawn M. Brodman has been appointed as marketing director. In her position, Brodman will direct all aspects of the CDG's marketing efforts including CDG global conference coordination, public relations and promotion. Brodman joins the CDG from CIBERNET, the leading provider of financial settlement services for operators around the world. Brodman will report directly to Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG.

"Dawn's in-depth experience in the wireless industry will compliment our efforts to produce industry leading CDMA conferences as well as further establish cdmaOne as the premier digital wireless standard."

Brodman served as marketing director for London-based CIBERNET plc., where she identified new market opportunities and potential business partners, developed business plans for new products, and deployed market strategies for existing products. In addition, she followed trends in the cdmaOne, GSM, AMPS and other technology areas of the wireless industry in order to adapt products to changing and emerging market needs. Brodman has also held management positions with CIBERNET Corporation; SNET Cellular, Inc.; and American Mobile Satellite Corporation. She started her career with Andersen Consulting.

Brodman holds a Master of Public Administration from The American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, with honors, from Rutgers University.
