Asian Wireless Market Booms for cdmaOne CDMA Development Group Opens New Office in Hong Kong
COSTA MESA, Calif., April 7, 1998--Responding to the widespread adoption of cdmaOne technology throughout Asia, the CDMA Development Group (CDG) today announced the opening of its new regional office in Hong Kong.
The CDG's Hong Kong office is located on the 32nd floor of the Shell Tower, Times Square, 1 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
"The CDG recognizes the phenomenal demand for cutting-edge cdmaOne technology now spreading throughout Asia," said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG. The CDG's Asian office will provide a central resource for wireless operators and manufacturers headquartered throughout the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, the CDG will work closely with carriers throughout Asia including LG Telecom, DDI and IDO in Japan, SK Telecom, Shinsegi Telecomm, Inc., PT Komunikasi Selular Indonesia, MobileOne (Asia) Pte. Ltd. and Korea Telecom Freetel, Inc.
