Exclusively from Sprint and Available Today: HTC EVO 3D, America's First 3D-Enabled Smartphone in the United States, and HTC EVO View 4G, with New Digital Pen Technology OVERLAND PARK, Kan., June 24, 2011 - Two of the most highly anticipated wireless devices of 2011, HTC EVO™ 3D and HTC EVO View 4G™, debut today, exclusively from Sprint (NYSE: S). HTC EVO 3D, America’s first glasses-free 3D phone will cost $199.99 and HTC EVO View 4G, the first 4G-enabled tablet in the United States, will cost $399.99. Both prices exclude applicable taxes, and the devices require a new two-year service agreement or eligible upgrade.

Sprint Stores nationwide will open at 8 a.m. local time. HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G will also be available through Sprint Business Direct Sales, www.sprint.com and Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1), as well as RadioShack and Best Buy stores.

“HTC EVO 3D brings to life a visual experience that comes alive in front of the viewers’ eyes and offers crisp, clear pictures on the large display that showcases yet another new innovation from Sprint; and HTC EVO View 4G combines a wonderful tablet experience with the ability to use the optional HTC Scribe digital pen to take notes on web pages, e-books, PDF documents and more, in an easy and natural way,” said Fared Adib, vice president – Product Development, Sprint. “We’re looking forward to seeing our customers’ reactions to the glasses-free 3D experience when they get their hands on these exciting new devices today.”

Glasses-Free 3D plus Sprint 4G

HTC EVO 3D takes the mobile multimedia experience to a new level, providing the ability to capture and view in 3D and share at 4G speeds while offering consumers the ultimate glasses-free 3D experience. Built with the Android™ 2.3 operating system (Gingerbread) with the latest version of the acclaimed HTC Sense experience, HTC EVO 3D features America’s first 4.3-inch, qHD 3D display and a powerful 1.2GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon® dual-core processor. HTC EVO 3D also features dual 5-megapixel cameras, which can be used to capture high-quality conventional and stunning 3D images and videos, opening up new frontiers for user-generated content, social networking and streaming video.

Respected technology media agree Sprint has done it again with HTC EVO 3D. Here are a few accolades from early reviews:

• “A lot of the hype on this phone will be centered on its 3-D capabilities. But take away the 3-D and you still have one of the better smartphones in the market.” – The Wall Street Journal

• “When it comes to gaming on the HTC EVO 3D, I am impressed.” – TheGamerAccess

• “So, if the way you use your phone and ease of navigation and functions is important, you want the best Mobile UI on the market, and you love glasses-free 3D technology, get the only phone that has them both, the HTC EVO 3D 4G for Sprint.” – VideoGamingPros

• “The HTC EVO 3D builds on the original EVO 4G in every way possible. It’s thinner, it feels better in the hand, and it’s way more powerful.” – BGR

• “The EVO 3D is more or less the same ass-kicker its 2D predecessor was, but a year later and faster.” – Gizmodo

• “There's no question that the 3D powers are an appealing feature of the EVO 3D. Taking 3D images and 3D video offers that 'wow' feeling almost each and every time, and makes even the most mundane subjects somehow more interesting. It helps that the EVO 3D's camera is top notch. Even if the EVO 3D were a 2D-only shooter, it would be worth recommending for the camera performance alone.” – Phonescoop

• “So let's ignore 3D for a second. The EVO 3D is fast, sleek, up to date, and packs a pretty great qHD display.” – This is My Next

HTC EVO 3D requires activation on one of Sprint’s Everything Data plans plus a required $10 Premium Data add-on charge for smartphones. Sprint’s Everything Data plan with Any Mobile, AnytimeSM includes unlimited web, texting and calling to and from any mobile in America while on the Sprint Network, starting at just $69.99 per month plus required $10 Premium Data add-on charge – a savings of $39.99 per month versus Verizon’s comparable plan with unlimited talk, text and web or $9.99 per month versus Verizon’s 450-minute plan with unlimited text and web. The Mobile Hotspot option is available for an additional $29.99 per month supporting up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously. (Pricing excludes taxes and surcharges.)

An Unparalleled Tablet Experience

HTC EVO View 4G brings the best of the EVO experience to a tablet design with a 7-inch touchscreen, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and latest version of HTC Sense. It will launch with an Android 2.3 operating system (Gingerbread) with a future update to Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). As the perfect combination e-reader, media player and portable computing device, HTC EVO View 4G offers a premium entertainment experience with HD-like quality video and a rich web-browsing experience with the ability to browse the web on Flash-enabled sites.

Here are a few nice things industry experts had to say about HTC EVO View 4G:

• “I love the form factor and absolutely solid build quality of the View 4G. It’s a top notch tablet, the size is great, and it’s lovely having 4G WiMAX data speeds wherever I go.”2 – BGR

• “The EVO View's 7-inch, 1024 x 600-pixel glossy display is one of the brightest and most vibrant we've seen on a tablet. With the brightness turned up, images appeared bright and colorful even at 90-degree viewing angles.” – Laptop Magazine

• “The HTC EVO View 4G for Sprint adds a fast 4G connection to the HTC Flyer, an already capable tablet with excellent pen input options.” – PC Magazine

• “The HTC EVO View 4G is undeniably fun to use. The interface is fast and responsive.” – CNET

Additionally, for a limited time, any customer who purchases HTC EVO View 4G will receive the HTC Scribe™ digital pen (otherwise sold separately) at no additional charge, while supplies last, with a two-year service agreement – providing an additional savings of $79.99 on their purchase.

Rate plans for the HTC EVO View start as low as $34.99 per month for 3GB of 3G data and unlimited 4G data usage while on the Sprint network, when bundled with an eligible handset plan3. Unlimited text, picture and video messaging are included at no additional charge. Additional plans, including 3G-only plans, are available to meet customers’ needs. ECOtality (NASDAQ: ECTY), a leader in clean electric transportation and storage technologies that address the world’s global energy challenges, is already harnessing the value of the Sprint Command Center.

“Our Blink charging stations are rapidly expanding into 18 major cities and metropolitan areas. We are able to leverage the Sprint Command Center to manage the growing number of electric charging stations - including remote activation and upgrades, plus the ability to collect data wirelessly for billing, security and other services,” said Jonathan Read, CEO - ECOtality.

With powerful features available today, the Sprint Command Center is a robust, self-service management platform for M2M devices and services, enabling businesses to control a single device - or thousands of devices - from Sprint’s secure online portal. Sprint’s Command Center includes a built-in, encrypted VPN security standard, and does not require additional services to achieve a secure connection.

Additional key features and benefits include:

• Quick, convenient management of M2M devices and services

• Secure platform and connectivity for protected access

• Simple, remote control of key management tasks

-- Add, remove, suspend or un-suspend devices

-- Automated pre-provisioning, activations and un-suspensions

-- Pre-planned (by date/time, usage, etc.) or on-the-fly management

• Flexible billing/usage capabilities

-- Dynamic rate plans, flexible pooling, Business Rule Engine for device billing, customized billing triggers

-- Usage alerts and notifications for timely response

• Extensive reporting to support real-time assessment and ongoing solution optimization

• Easy integration with existing infrastructure/applications via open APIs

• Powerful development tools, including kits, modules, hardware and service plans

“As businesses discover the enormous potential of M2M they’re demanding resources and tools that can provide rapid enablement and return on investment, along with an enhanced experience for their customers. The Sprint Command Center anticipates that need as a key addition to our solutions package,” said Wayne Ward, vice president of Emerging Solutions Group – Sprint. ”Coupled with Sprint’s proven experience in M2M solutions management, Sprint Command Center helps drive enhanced innovation in functions that depend on reliable, fast communication, including energy management, transportation, telematics, mobile healthcare, mobile security, and digital signage. ZTE Unveils World’s First CDMA/LTE Dual-Mode 4T4R Distributed NodeB System

ZTE Unveils World’s First CDMA/LTE Dual-Mode 4T4R Distributed NodeB System 16 June 2011, Shenzhen – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced the launch of the industry’s first CDMA/LTE dual-mode distributed NodeB system with four transmitters and four receivers (4T4R).

ZTE’S industry-leading Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology supports two 2x2 or 4x4 MIMO configurations, allowing an increased number of simultaneous data streams, maintenance of coverage over greater distances and faster downloading of data. The MIMO feature helps carriers significantly enhance cell coverage and capacity by improving spectral efficiency, accelerating network deployment and decreasing network construction costs.

This distributed NodeB system is based on ZTE’s large-scale commercial Soft Defined Radio (SDR) platform to support CDMA2000 1X, EV-DO and LTE. To date, ZTE has become the first vendor to achieve seamless and smooth CDMA/LTE integration around the globe.

Ms. Li Jian, general manager of ZTE’s CDMA and LTE products, said “ZTE has continuously led the industry towards the evolution from CDMA to LTE. ZTE has built an open CDMA/LTE dual-mode laboratory in Dallas, Texas, and deployed CDMA/LTE dual-mode trial networks in many markets — including some in the United States. ZTE is helping CDMA operators evolve to LTE by utilizing the most cutting-edge Uni-RAN platform available.”

As an innovator of both the CDMA and LTE technologies, ZTE has actively joined hands with leading global carriers, having rolled out 18 LTE commercial networks and 70 LTE trials throughout the world. ZTE has been ranked first in a number of CDMA product shipments for five consecutive years. As of the first quarter of 2011, ZTE has shipped over 310,000 CDMA NodeBs, topping the global CDMA market with a 32.5 per cent market share.

Large touchscreens and options for full QWERTY keypads make it easier for customers to stay organized and take advantage of all the time-saving applications and functions that enhance their lives. Wi-Fi capabilities offer another means to quickly access important information and entertainment. All of the Android-powered phones will run the 2.3 operating system, also known as Gingerbread, and are pre-loaded with popular Google™ applications like Gmail™ and Google Maps™.

U.S. Cellular's entire line-up of devices is backed by its high-speed nationwide network, which has the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any national carrier. Abukai Teams With Verizon Wireless To Distribute Abukai Expenses™ In V CAST Apps

Abukai Teams With Verizon Wireless To Distribute Abukai Expenses™ In V CAST Apps BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and SAN FRANCISCO, CA — June 9, 2011 — Verizon Wireless and ABUKAI today announced ABUKAI Expenses™ is now available in V CAST Apps, Verizon Wireless’ mobile applications storefront.

“To have ABUKAI Expenses included in V CAST Apps and available through the Verizon Wireless Online Media Store is a privilege and a distinction for ABUKAI,” said Philipp Schloter, president and chief executive officer of ABUKAI. “The app gives Verizon Wireless customers an efficient way to access and experience ABUKAI Expenses’ unique and highly productive benefits. ABUKAI Expenses routinely saves users more than 60 minutes per expense report. Multiply that by the number of reports a company generates and an hourly pay rate, the productivity improvement generated becomes clear and shows how important having a smartphone can be for any employee.”

Unlike other expense report offerings, users do not “key” information into mobile devices or computers. With ABUKAI Expenses, capturing and recording expenses is a simple two-step process: customers simply take pictures of their receipts while on the road or in the office using the camera function on their Verizon Wireless smartphones. Once all of the receipts have been captured, customers push “Submit” in the application, and ABUKAI automatically creates their expense reports – complete with cost categorization, date, vendor and other required information. In addition, a PDF document with copies of the receipt images is provided with each report.

For corporate account customers, ABUKAI offers the option to customize the expense report output based on customers’ existing format or to input expense data directly into existing expense management or accounting systems.

V CAST Apps, available on select Android™ smartphones and BlackBerry® devices, including ThunderBolt™ by HTC, DROID PRO by Motorola and Samsung Fascinate™, delivers thousands of apps, games and more to Verizon Wireless customers. V CAST Apps lets customers discover, purchase and use apps with a simple one-click process and offers the ease and convenience of direct billing – apps purchased are invoiced on customers’ monthly Verizon Wireless bills.

Verizon Wireless customers with V CAST Apps on their device can download ABUKAI Expenses from V CAST Apps in the Business Apps channel under the Finance subcategory. There is no charge for downloading ABUKAI Expenses application or for the first three expense reports each consisting of 10 expense items or fewer. Additional individual account and corporate account options are available through ABUKAI at http://abukai.com/buy. Download charges vary and airtime or megabyte charges may apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications.

MACH And Starcomms Win 2011 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award

MACH And Starcomms Win 2011 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award Luxembourg, 8th June 2011 – MACH, the leading provider of hub-based mobile communication solutions, in partnership with Starcomms Plc, Nigeria’s leading telecommunications operator, last night won the Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award 2011 for best wireless network infrastructure innovation. The award recognises MACH and Starcomms’ successful collaboration in trialling and subsequently delivering the world’s first inter-standard roaming data service for pre-paid subscribers, having extended this functionality from the post-paid environment.

In presenting the Awards, Alan Burkitt-Gray, editor of Global Telecoms Business, commented: “This is the fifth time we’ve run the Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards and this year we saw more nominations, from a greater range of operators and vendors, than ever before. This is a sure sign the industry is working harder and harder to deliver exciting and innovative services to customers worldwide. Congratulations to all of this year’s award winners and to MACH and Starcomms for the first pre-paid inter-standard roaming data service successfully trialled.”

Logan Pather, Chief Operating Officer, Starcomms, comments: “We are delighted to have won this award in partnership with MACH. Pre-paid roaming is a strong growth area for Starcomms and Africa in general but has traditionally been difficult to monetise successfully given the complexity of the technology and the associated cost. MACH delivered a world-first hub-based solution that provides us with a larger footprint for pre-paid data roaming across different technologies and removed the complexity associated with inter-standard roaming. For the first time, inter-standard data roaming is a realistic revenue stream for Starcomms and provides us with significant competitive advantage in the roaming market.”

Lokdeep Singh, Vice President, Technology and Innovation, MACH, added: “We are proud to have won this prestigious industry award. The recognition is testament to our continuous commitment to innovation and firmly positions MACH as the leader in the inter-standard pre-paid roaming market. Our Inter-Standard Roaming managed services solutions offer a more efficient and value-added approach to delivering a seamless extension of operators’ home networks, without the capital and operational costs – unlocking new revenue opportunities for operators, and providing cost-effective convenience for their customers.”

The joint project involved the trialling and deploying of a solution which allows simple and seamless inter-standard roaming for Starcomms’ pre-paid subscribers, providing them with full access to the data services they wish to consume abroad, while simultaneously opening up the rewards of the pre-paid data roaming market to the operator. The trial was successful in resolving a major industry problem, by neutralising pre-paid protocols and the resulting solution, the MACH Data Roaming Engine, provides support for pre-paid data inter-working between different technologies by converting the various network protocols used by home and visited networks.

Cernium and Sprint to Offer CheckVideo|Sprint 3G Intelligent Video Surveillance and Alarm Verification Solution

Cernium and Sprint to Offer CheckVideo|Sprint 3G Intelligent Video Surveillance and Alarm Verification Solution Reston, Va. – June 8, 2011 – Cernium and Sprint announced today they will offer CheckVideo|Sprint 3G, the first intelligent, wireless mobile broadband video surveillance and alarm verification solution. CheckVideo|Sprint 3G is a powerful combination of Sprint’s secure and reliable nationwide wireless network and CheckVideo’s edge-based advanced video analytics technology and software as a service (SaaS).

CheckVideo|Sprint 3G transforms ordinary security cameras into a proactive solution that sends critical, real-time video alerts users can act on to verify and prioritize alarms, stop crimes in progress and reduce false-alarm fines. It “watches” every camera 24/7 for events of interest and extends the security perimeter, protecting outdoor and remote areas that are too cost-prohibitive to monitor with conventional video surveillance systems.

“CheckVideo’s advanced technology, together with Sprint’s expansive wireless mobile broadband network, means cameras can now be placed virtually anywhere at a fraction of the cost of conventional surveillance systems,” said Philip Robertson, vice president, Security and Alarm Division, Cernium Corporation. “CheckVideo|Sprint 3G also easily adds on to existing security systems, and Sprint’s proven anti-jamming and eavesdropping technology provides the added benefit of highly secure wireless transport.”

The Sprint 3G network provides multiple layers of enhanced security and protection against wireless jamming and eavesdropping, compared to the weaker air link security of legacy GSM technology used by many other carriers.

“Sprint is committed to M2M security, and we’re excited to expand our solutions portfolio with CheckVideo|Sprint 3G,” said Wayne Ward, vice president, Sprint Emerging Solutions Group. “CheckVideo|Sprint 3G surpasses traditional video surveillance by enabling customers to extend and reinforce the security perimeter and protect more effectively, while not disturbing their existing IT infrastructure.”

CheckVideo|Sprint 3G is remotely managed from the CheckVideo Web portal, making it easy to expand the system across geographic locations. Users can log on to the CheckVideo Web portal to view live, recorded or alarm video from any camera in the system, at any time and from anywhere within the Sprint 3G nationwide coverage area. Video alerts of user-defined events of interest are based on the presence of a person or vehicle, not just motion, and can be sent to email addresses, smartphones, the secure CheckVideo Web portal, or professional central monitoring services. For more information on CheckVideo and Sprint M2M solutions visit http://www.cernium.com/checkvideo.asp and http://www.sprint.com/m2m.

VideoSurf And Verizon Wireless Debut Video Discovery Mobile App

VideoSurf And Verizon Wireless Debut Video Discovery Mobile App BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and SAN MATEO, CA — June 2, 2011 — VideoSurf, the leader in video discovery, today announced a new mobile application that is now available on millions of smartphones from Verizon Wireless. VideoSurf’s innovative app lets customers discover, search and identify video available on any device – including TV episodes, movies, music videos and video clips – by doing a visual and audio search using a smartphone, or by typing a query directly into the app.

With VideoSurf’s mobile app, customers can discover videos by simply pointing their phones at a television or computer screen to capture a few seconds of what they are watching. Using patented computer vision technology, VideoSurf will quickly identify the episode and celebrities, provide more information about what was identified and suggest other videos to watch. Customers can let their friends know what they are watching and help them discover new videos or other content by posting directly to Facebook® and Twitter™.

“Mobile represents a new era for video consumption and we look forward to providing users with the best way to discover videos and content on their smartphones,” said Lior Delgo, chief executive officer and co-founder of VideoSurf. “We are proud to be working with Verizon as it gives us a tremendous opportunity to reach millions with our new video discovery app.”

“VideoSurf offers a new and different way to experience video on your phone. Not only does it show off the power of our leading wireless network and wide range of devices, it gives customers the ability to share and enjoy video with their friends,” said Ed Ruth, director, business development and strategic partnerships at Verizon Wireless. “Working with VideoSurf shows how powerful it can be to bring network, distribution and innovative ideas together.”

VideoSurf helps customers discover videos they want to watch, wherever they want to watch them. In addition to audio recognition, VideoSurf uses proprietary visual recognition technology to “see” inside videos, providing superior results and an enhanced user experience.

The VideoSurf mobile app is available at no charge on select Verizon Wireless smartphones with V CAST Apps from the Verizon Channel in Android Market™. The app will be preloaded on additional 4G LTE smartphones available from Verizon Wireless later this year.

VideoSurf reaches more than 20 million unique users per month, including more than 14 million who visit www.videosurf.com. The company was founded by a team of proven entrepreneurs and leading experts in search, computer vision and fast computation, who came together to develop advanced solutions for video discovery.

KORE Wireless Group Inc Announces Completion of Acquisition of Mach Communications Pty Ltd

KORE Wireless Group Inc Announces Completion of Acquisition of Mach Communications Pty Ltd Toronto, Canada and Melbourne, Australia—Jun 1, 2011—KORE Wireless Group Inc., the world's largest wireless services group exclusively focused on the global machine-to-machine (M2M) communications market, today announced the definitive acquisition of Mach Communications Pty Ltd., a Melbourne-based wireless M2M network provider. The acquisition enables KORE to more effectively respond to the demands of the rapidly expanding global market for M2M solutions. The identity of Mach Communications Pty Ltd will transition to KORE Wireless Asia-Pacific in ensuing weeks. The acquisition, which was completed as an all-cash transaction following unanimous approval of all shareholders, is now complete.

Earlier this year, KORE announced the commercial delivery of its Global Connect™ integrated worldwide cellular and satellite capabilities through its global communications service delivery platform, PRiSMPro™. This acquisition adds a significant incumbent subscriber base, further carrier service options and, most critically, a highly acclaimed and skilled team to further expand KORE's footprint and support capabilities in the Asia-Pacific marketplace. According to Beecham Research, Asia-Pacific M2M growth is expected to outstrip North American growth by over 25 percent over the next five years, with an expected CAGR of 26 percent.

"Global adoption of M2M service solutions requires uninterrupted, reliable data communications and faultless support 24/7, regardless of geographic location. With the acquisition of Mach Communications, KORE now makes international service delivery even more simple and secure," said Alex Brisbourne, president and COO, KORE Wireless Group Inc. "Working with the Mach team over the past three years, we were very impressed by the common ideals that we both have for servicing global customers. As KORE continues to build on its powerful M2M communications platform, and we empower organizations across the globe with a single interface for monitoring and managing connected devices, this geographic expansion was a natural fit."

"Since 2005, Mach has built a great reputation around our superior service support and long-term account relationships. Many of our customers are now demanding broader service and support access, and we believe that the combined company will address these growth needs far more effectively than any other organization, including wireless carriers," said Shane Murphy, vice president and general manager, Mach/KORE Asia-Pacific. "The team at Mach is excited to become part of the KORE family, as are our customers who understand how a global M2M network can help their business."

The KORE Global Connect network supports IP-data communications, SMS and low-use 'short burst data' satellite network services. When coupled with the PRiSMPro network and business management platform, KORE provides a single view and centralized management capabilities of all devices throughout the world.
