Eric Schultz is president and CEO of Wireless Knowledge where he leverages more than 15 years of successful industry leadership. A dynamic leader and businessman, Schultz has enjoyed industry wide success in the strategic development, marketing and sales of wireless Internet applications as well as several software technologies.
Prior to joining Wireless Knowledge, Schultz served as director, wireless strategy and sales for Microsoft's Network Solutions Group. In this role, he defined the sales strategy for Microsoft's data service platforms, Internet properties and client handsets to wireless carriers and infrastructure vendors. He was also directly responsible for business development and domestic and international sales.
Previously, Schultz was group program manager for the enhanced platform product unit at Microsoft. In this position, he ran the program management function for the advanced technology group within the Exchange Server product line, focusing on wireless and unified messaging.
A successful entrepreneur, Schultz co-founded the Mesa Group, Inc. in 1988, where he served as chairman and CEO for nearly ten years. During his tenure, he led the company to several years of growth, resulting in successful acquisition by Microsoft in 1998. Schultz also co-founded Blossom Software, a company that developed, marketed and supported software products to enhance Lotus 1-2-3. Prior to Blossom Software, Schultz was an architect for spreadsheet products at Lotus Development Corporation.
Schultz received a B.A. in biology and computer science from Harvard University in 1984, where he taught various courses in computer science as a teaching fellow.
