Exhibit Activities
Solicitation by Non-Exhibitors
Firms and representatives of firms not assigned exhibit
space are prohibited from soliciting business in any
form in the exhibit area and all parts of, and adjacent
to, the Sheraton Harbor Island. Violators will be promptly
dismissed from the Sheraton Harbor Island Exhibit Hall,
and/or adjacent area.
Distribution of Printed Materials
/"Door Drops"
Distribution of material printed by Exhibitors or their
agents is limited to the area contracted by the Exhibitor
in the Sheraton Harbor Island Exhibit Hall. Flyers or
other printed materials may not be delivered to hotel
sleeping rooms of the CDMA Americas Congress attendees
without advance written permission from the CDG. These
restrictions are in effect October 24 28, 2000.
Signs
The CDG will provide signage to assist attendees in
locating exhibits, and company booth identification
signs as outlined in the various packages.
Signs, banners and posters may not be placed outside
the exhibit space assigned to each Exhibitor. No interference
with light or space of other Exhibitors will be allowed.
Signs may not be hung from the ceiling without prior
approval from the CDG and Sheraton Harbor Island. All
signs must be self-supporting within the booth area
and must be attractive in design and appearance.
Photography and Videotaping
Exhibitors may not photograph or videotape any other
company's exhibit on the exhibit floor. Only the official
show photographer or videographer is allowed to photograph
or videotape all exhibits in the Sheraton Harbor Island
Exhibit Hall.
Sound Restrictions
Electrical and other mechanical apparatuses must be
muffled so that noise does not disturb other Exhibitors.
Videotapes may be shown provided that screens and receivers
are placed in the rear of the exhibit to eliminate congestion
in the aisles, and sound is at a continuous low level.
The CDG reserves the right to determine at what point
the sound level constitutes interference with others
and must be discontinued.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Sheraton
Harbor Island Hotel or Exhibit Hall.
Suggested Attire
The official conference attire for attendees is business
casual. Exhibitors may wish to bring a light jacket
or sweater as session rooms and the Exhibit Hall will
be air-conditioned.
Giveaways and Souvenirs
Distribution of giveaways and souvenirs is permitted
provided there is no interference with adjoining Exhibitors
and the distribution is conducted in a professional
manner. The CDG reserves the right to determine at what
point the distribution constitutes interference with
other Exhibitors and must be discontinued.
Exhibitor Conduct
Behavior by an Exhibitor, his employees or representatives
judged to be disruptive to the orderly conduct of the
2000 CDMA Americas Congress may result in ejection from
the Sheraton Harbor Island Exhibit Hall, forfeiture
of all exhibit fees paid and future denial of contract
for exhibit space.
Admission of Guests
Guests of Exhibitors who wish to enter the Sheraton
Harbor Island Exhibit Hall for the purpose of interviews,
viewing products and displays, etc., must register for
the Congress as attendees and pay full registration
fees. Badges will not be issued to representatives from
non-exhibiting companies.
After-Hours Admission
Exhibitors wearing badges may enter the Sheraton Harbor
Island Exhibit Hall one hour before the opening of the
show and one hour after the close of the show each day.
If other access is required, the Exhibitor must present
a 2000 CDMA Americas Congress Exhibitor badge and one
form of photo identification to the security guard on
duty in the Sheraton Harbor Island Exhibit Hall.
Badges
Upon arrival at the Sheraton Harbor Island, Exhibitors
must visit Registration to receive their conference
and exhibitor badges.
Badges must be worn during set-up,
show hours and tear-down of exhibits. Security will
be located at the entrance to the Sheraton Harbor Island
Exhibit Hall during these times, and will not permit
entrance without a badge or authorized pass. Business
cards, stickers or other items may not cover badges.
Exhibit Staffing
Exhibits must be staffed during all official exhibit
show hours.
Exhibitor Registration Hours
Registration will be located In the Harbor Island Foyer
Tuesday, October 24 from 12:00noon to 2:00pm and then
again from 5:00pm 8:00pm. Thereafter, Exhibitor
registration will be located in the Exhibit Hall Foyer
as follows:
