Overview of OMH Device Testing
This page summarizes the process for testing and accepting OMH parent devices. This process has been designed to:
- Assure that OMH devices are well-tested
- Minimize time-to-market for new OMH devices
- Allow an OMH device to be tested once for all OMH markets
For more detailed information about this process, refer to
CDG182 (OMH TAG Process Guide).
Device Declaration and Acceptance Process
Step 1: Vendor Requests Testing
- Vendor requests testing from a CCF Authorized Testing Facility (ATF)
- Vendor identifies the features and capabilities of the device to the ATF
Step 2: Testing is Executed
- The ATF executes the applicable testing coverage specified in CDG183 (OMH Device Test Plan)
- If device software is updated during the course of testing, the vendor must identify necessary regression testing
Step 3: Test Results are Stored
- Vendor stores test results in a compliance folder
- Vendor makes test results available to TAG operators upon request
Step 4: Vendor Declares Device to the TAG
Step 5: TAG Accepts the Device
- TAG receives and reviews the completed declaration and waiver request forms from the vendor
- If there are any issues preventing acceptance, the TAG notifies the vendor
- Upon acceptance, the TAG provides the vendor with a Certificate of Acceptance
Step 6: Vendor Places the OMH Logo on Devices or Packaging
- Vendor places the OMH logo on the accepted device, packaging, and/or associated marketing material
- For more information and usage guidelines associated with the OMH logo, refer to the OMH Brand Information
