Special Interest Group (SIG)

The OMH Special Interest Group (SIG) was formed in January of 2008 to lead the OMH initiative. The SIG provides a venue for stakeholders such as operators, device manufacturers, R-UIM/SIM card vendors, and distributors to ensure that market needs are being fully addressed and facilitate commercialization and worldwide expansion of the initiative. The OMH SIG meets face-to-face three to four times a year, in addition to holding various conference calls. As activity in the working groups increases, fewer specific work items will fall directly to the OMH SIG plenary. Reference documents and resolutions follow a standard approval structure. That structure allows for different levels within the CDG organization to review and approve suggested implementation guidelines and reference documents. All stakeholders must be members of the CDG to participate in the OMH SIG.
