CDG Teams

General Teams

  • Global Handset Requirements for CDMA (GHRC)
The Global Handset Requirements for CDMA (GHRC) Team develops device and application requirements documents for use by CDMA operators and their terminal suppliers. These documents form the basis of a common language for identifying CDMA operators' terminal requirements leading to greater economies of scale, while still allowing for regional or operator-specific requirements.
  • International Roaming
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has been involved in activities to facilitate the deployment of international roaming service for CDMA operators around the world.
  • MEID & EUIMID Task Force
The purpose of this Task Force is to accelerate the transition from ESN/UIMID to MEID/EUIMID identifiers throughout the CDMA2000 industry.  The Task Force provides information for operators and vendors and works closely with other industry organizations including TIA and 3GPP2.

Technical Teams

CDG Technical Teams work under the direction of the Steering Committee and focus on the development of CDMA2000 advanced features and services. Results of team activity include specifications, contributions to standards committees and CDG Reference Documents. Staffed by member companies' technical experts, the teams cover a multitude of special interest areas as wide-ranging as advanced systems initiatives, international roaming, applications and testing.

Regional Interest Groups

CDG Regional Interest Groups are established under the Steering Committee's direction to further cdmaOne and CDMA2000 deployment in specific geographic regions. Interest groups offer a forum where the collective expertise of the CDG and member companies can be shared with government officials and wireless operators to help in their selection and deployment of CDMA networks.
