MCP’s business is to offer cellular coverage to passengers and crew onboard ferries and cruise ships. The service is offered to passengers roaming into the network while they are passengers onboard the ships. MCP is established as a GSM operator and will extend their service to offer the same service level to CDMA subscribers. The radio network onboard the ship is connected to a mobile switching centre via a VSAT connection. MCP is by ITU assigned an international number series (882 32) and is a Norwegian based company. The current GSM network is operated from Norway. |
