Industry Leadership Award:
Given to the individual who has provided the most dynamic
leadership in CDMA industry activities, including contributions
to standards development and the growth and evolution
of CDMA.
Dr.
Irwin Jacobs, for his contributions to the development
of CDMA technology.

International Leadership Award:
Given to the companies that have contributed significantly
to the expansion of CDMA worldwide through system deployments
and/or implementation of international roaming.
DDI Corporation, IDO Corporation, Hutchison Telecom
(HK), Shinsegi Telecomm and GTE TSI for the establishment
of cdmaOne automatic roaming service between Japan,
Hong Kong and Korea.

Service Innovation Award:
Given to the operators that have leveraged the capabilities
of cdmaOne to introduce innovative and industry leading
services to the market.
Bell
Mobility, for "Data on the Go", one of the first wireless data services
to market. Bell Mobility has formed numerous partnerships with news, e-commerce
and financial services, and offers a wide variety of CDMA handsets to
deliver content.
SK
Telecom, for their deployment of high-speed data networks. SK Telecom
is a leader among CDMA carriers to deploy IS-95B with 64 KBPS data capability,
and has publicly announced plans to deploy 1X before the end of 2000.

Subscriber Product Innovation Award:
Given to the company that has demonstrated forward thinking
in terms of services supported and terminal design.
Resulting products take advantage of the inherent benefits
and latest technological developments of cdmaOne, offering
consumers state of the art handsets in terms of both
features and packaging.
Samsung,
for their overall portfolio of CDMA handsets, which
includes a wide variety of models, many of them browser-enabled.

Infrastructure Product Innovation Award:
Given to the companies that have introduced network
elements that allow operators flexible and cost effective
solutions for urban, suburban and rural implementations
incorporating today's advanced cdmaOne features with
an easy evolution path to future enhancements for CDMA2000.
US West, Alcatel, Ericsson and Nortel Networks for
PCS Access Network, the first multi-vendor integrated
wireless/wireline architecture in the US, which utilizes
Interoperability Specification (IOS) and SS7 over IP
signaling.

Innovative Solutions Award:
Given to the companies that have brought new ideas and
different approaches to product deployment in their
respective disciplines. Resulting solutions provide
value-added, cost-effective implementations for operators
supporting the advancement of cdmaOne and CDMA2000 into
the market.

of the CDMA Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card
specification. |

Third Generation Pioneer Award:
Given to the company that has contributed most significantly
to ensuring the smooth migration path to Third Generation
(3G) for cdmaOne through contributions to standards,
harmonization efforts and product or service planning.
Qualcomm
CDMA Technologies for the 3G chipset, which will enable 1X to come to
market rapidly.

Five Year Anniversary Recognition:
Given to Hutchison and Motorola in commemoration of
the five year anniversary of the first commercial CDMA
launch (Hong Kong, 1995).
